Biography: 

Dave received his bachelor and master degrees at the University of Toronto in Chemical Engineering, and Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Civil and Environmental Engineering under Phil Gschwend.  After graduation, Dave had the opportunity to work very closely as a post-doctoral fellow with Dominic Di Toro and Herbert Allen on a project investigating the fate of energetic compounds in terrestrial environment.  He is greatly interested in understanding the toxicokinetics and trophodynamics of chemicals in various organisms, how they are influenced by environmental matrices and other dynamics present in natural environments, and how all these factors can be merged into an effective and sound assessment system for site evaluation, chemical regulation, and risk management purposes.
