题目: Toward Obfuscation-resilient Mobile App Repackaging Detection in Android

 

Abstract: In recent years, the development of mobile apps has kept growing, so does mobile app repackaging. Attackers can easily repackage an app under their own names, embed advertisements, or leverage its popularity to accelerate malware propagation. In this work, we propose ViewDroid, a novel user view based approach to mobile app repackaging detection. Our experimental results demonstrate that ViewDroid can characterize Android apps from a higher-level abstraction, making it resilient to code obfuscation. It can detect repackaged apps both effectively and efficiently. In the end of the talk, I will also introduce some of our work related to the security and privacy of mobile sensors.

 

朱森存教授是宾夕法尼亚州立大学计算机科学与工程系副教授，博士生导师。他于1996年于清华大学获学士学位，1999年获得中国科学技术大学硕士学位，2004年于George Mason大学获博士学位。他在2010年获宾夕法尼亚州立大学终身教职。

朱教授长期从事计算机网络与系统安全领域的研究工作，特别是在传感器网络安全方面取得了很有影响的成就。他迄今已在国际学术刊物和学术会议上发表论文超过100篇，他的论文被国际同行引用总共超过5000多次。另外，他于2007年获得美国国家科学基金会的CAREER Award. 他也担任包括IEEE S&P'10, WiSec'11-14, ICDCS'10, INFOCOM, NDSS 2011等国际知名会议的程序委员会委员。目前，教授的主要研究方向包括无线网络安全、在线社交网络的安全性与隐私保护、软件安全与保护,智能手机安全等。
